WE'RE WITH STUPID
Students for the Promotion of Different-Minded Individuals
WHAT IS A DMI?
A Different-Minded Individual (DMI) refers to someone who exhibits foolish or illogical behavior.  Note that this does NOT refer to someone suffering from mental illness.  Rather, the term references people of average or above intelligence who do stupid things. To us, stupid is not a condition. It is merely a behavior done by those who know better.
Stupidity is becoming endangered.
We're here to change that.
WHAT DO DMIs DO FOR US?
Different-Minded Individuals are an increasingly imperative part of our diverse global community.  First of all, they provide a very unique form of joy: SCHADENFREUDE (the pleasure felt from others' pain).  Whenever a stupid person does a stupid thing, we laugh.  It's a theory grounded in very solid fact (for those of you non-believers out there, please check out our YouTube channel to see otherwise.)

More important than this, even, DMIs bring balance to the global community.  Imagine a world where everyone scored 2400s on their SATs, where everyone was a Mensa scholar, where NO ONE EVER DID ANYTHING STUPID.  Genius would go unappreciated were there no stupid people to complement the smarter bunch.  No one ever talks about how crucial different minds truly are.  That's why we have begun our crusade for the Different-Minded Individual.

By schools, the media, and (most of all) our increasingly elitist society.  Since the creation of the education system, teachers have been conditioning different-minded students to act against their different-minded urges.  Because stupidity in the learning place is so vehemently discouraged, we see Different-Minded Individuals suffering at a very young age.

Another opponent of the Different-Minded Individual is the media.  While stupidity is quite prevalent on today's television programs, DMIs have been represented in very poor taste.  Shows such as Comedy Central's Tosh.O and MTV's The Jersey Shore not only exhibit stupidity for schadenfreude's sake, they present stupid people as animals, discouraging stupidity in national audiences.

But the overarching problem, once again, is our selves.  We live in a world in which to be stupid is to be shameful.  Long past is the day when one could proudly work a blue-collar, working-class job.  Today, the expectation is to seek higher education and work in a dull office job for the majority of one's natural life.  Our society has forgotten the fact that not everyone is cut out for college, and as a result, many DMIs are being unfairly forced into a university environment where they face nasty discrimination.  It is tragic to see so many DMIs forced to change because of our elitist society.
HOW ARE DMIs BECOMING ENDANGERED?
WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT?
Our campaign has proposed several action steps in order to preserve the stupidity of the world. We strive to INFORM, to PROMOTE, and to PROTECT.

INFORM: In a recent survey, 97% of Americans said that they were unfamiliar with Different-Minded Individuals. Even scarier than that, 80% of Americans wanted to do away with stupidity altogether. It seems very clear to us that there is an epidemic of ignorance. The most frightening threats are those that most people are oblivious to. Therefore, we aim to bring awareness to the general population. As said by G.I. Joe, “Knowing is half the battle.”

PROMOTE: Don’t believe our facts? We have photo/video evidence to back it up. Through the use of social media, we strive to very subtly spread our message with examples from real life. Once we have you laughing, we know you’ll listen to what we have to say.

PROTECT: For a nation that stresses equality and anti-discrimination so vehemently, it is shocking how unprotected the DMIs are. Employers, though fully supportive of a diverse workplace, crack down rather firmly on incompetence. Currently, NO LEGAL PROTECTION IS IN PLACE FOR DIFFERENT-MINDED INDIVIDUALS. We’re looking to change that. Once we have gained the support of a large student base, we are planning to take a new bill to Washington: The Protection of Incompetent People in America Bill, or PIPA for short. This bill will protect DMIs in the workplace and in schools regardless of competence, creed, or moral system.

Teachers are teaching students not to be stupid.
Forget about catching Kony.  Let's bring back stupid before the end of 2012.
